imageThe 13th edition of Microsoft Virtual Tech Days – being held on 14th to 16th Dec 2011. I’ll be presenting a session on Web Developer Track and will talk about “Inside IIS Request Processing and ASP.NET Page Life Cycle” on 15th Dec 2011 from 3:00pm – 4:00pm (IST) . Understanding the ASP.NET Page Life Cycle is an essential knowledge for developing ASP.NET Web Application, and before Page Life Cycle, IIS does a numbers of internal process with the request coming from client browser. During this session I will discuss how IIS process ASP.NET Requests, what happens when some client request comes to IIS, how IIS decided what kind of request it is and later in internals of ASP.NET Page lifecycle.

I will also showcase how new ASP.NET 4.5 supports Async HTTPModule and HTTPHandler.

  1. Its Very Useful, to understand the internal detail, thanks.

    I’m not clear about one things,
    How the User get authenticated when make a second request after login.
    How the SessioId is used from browser/Url, all this internal detail.
    How the WebServer Interact.
    How the SessionId id Compared there.

    if you explore this in any post that would be useful to we all.

  2. Attended both of them…it was amazing learning first hand at such a pace…
    i did understand little though but i am making sincere effort to understand all of it…
    the best i found was the one where we combined the .js scripts all together by just specifying the folder it is in and the web loading speed increased drastically.
